DALLAS (AP; LA Times) August 26, 1998 -- A wealthy anonymous couple in Texas have provided $2.3 million to Texas A&M University to clone Missy, their beloved 11 year-old collie-husky mix. Besides making a litter of Missy pups, the Texas A&M scientists hope to learn more about canine reproduction and improve contraception and sterilization methods.
